Course Overview
This 2 hour live webinar combines lecture with interactive discussion to help birth workers understand excellent charting. While most health care providers know the importance of charting, many struggle to define the why and how of this essential skill. This course discusses what the reasons for charting are, as well as instruction on how to achieve excellent charting. It discusses common pitfalls, and how to avoid those. We will explore wins and losses in birth work that stem from the quality of the chart, as well as delving into how the chart can be utilized as both a tool and a weapon. Julie Moon and Lorraine Garcia will use their years of chart review, legal expert experience, leadership in education, and clinical practice to help you learn about and become more confident in maternity care charting.
