We travel across the US, and are willing to travel internationally for an additional travel fee, to bring this course to providers who need it. All of our courses are hosted by an area birth center or caregiver group. Often they will have a full course and no room for outside attendees. However, if we will already be in an area, we may be able to add a second course and easily fill it, so please inquire if you see a course in your area but it is full. In addition, hosts do keep priority for attendance at courses, and so will have the final determination of our ability to accept outside attendees. Please, if you you have questions, contact us, and we will see what is possible! We are committed to serving as many areas and community based providers as we can, while still keeping our travel manageable and affordable!!

When healthcare providers are faced with outliers, whether common, or rare, they benefit from having a standardized way to respond to these events. This course covers common and uncommon maternal and neonatal outliers including postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, prolapsed cord, pre-eclampsia, sepsis, maternal cardiac arrest/AFE/DIC, and neonatal hypoglycemia (host will choose 6 topics and final choices will be announced closer to the event). Ethical considerations for each outlier are built into each module, and each drill is debriefed using hot debriefing techniques developed to help providers learn the most from scenarios and create a culture of safety and learning within their practices.

Content in addition to NRP to include introduction of T-Piece resuscitators and why they matter, EMS collaboration and transfer scenarios, trauma based debriefing, and resuscitation in place. Instructor is a community based midwife with experience in EMS
