This Course is open, register here for Cedar Bluff Registration

For Midwives, Nurses, Birth Assistants, and EMS Professionals

When healthcare providers are faced with outliers, whether common, or rare, they benefit from having a standardized way to respond to these events. This course covers common and uncommon maternal and neonatal outliers including shoulder dystocia, pre-eclampsia, sepsis, maternal cardiac arrest/AFE/DIC, and neonatal hypoglycemia, and Intermittent Auscultation. Ethical considerations for each outlier are built into each module, and each drill is debriefed using hot debriefing techniques developed to help providers learn the most from scenarios and create a culture of safety and learning within their practices.
